Puerto Rico Governor Jenniffer González Colón said LUMA Energy intentionally shut off power to Plaza Las Américas and Plaza del Caribe during weekend outages, calling the action bordering on negligence [1]. Energy Chief Josué Colón Ortiz stated Monday that the AES 1 unit is expected back on the grid between Tuesday afternoon and evening [3]. González Colón also said Monday she sees no instruction contrary to law in a message attributed to Colón Ortiz regarding the Power Expectations contract [4]. Colón Ortiz did not refute allegations that he sent a text instructing Mary Zapata to sign a power contract with a consortium led by Power Expectations [5].
