Malfunction at La Plata Dam leaves 24,000 subscribers without water
A broken pump at the La Plata reservoir has cut raw water flow to the Enrique Ortega filtration plant, forcing officials to delay a repair timeline while residents in San Juan and surrounding areas face low pressure.
José Rivera Ortiz, executive director of the San Juan Metropolitan Region of the Water and Sewerage Authority, stated on Friday that he cannot establish a repair timeline for one of the four extraction pumps at the La Plata reservoir.[1]
