Arecibo completes 135 rebuilt homes under federal recovery program

The Municipality of Arecibo has finished 135 full home reconstructions for residents in need, Mayor Carlos Ramírez Irizarry announced, delivering the 135th house to Rolando Ramos Mártir of the Hato Abajo community.[1] The two-bedroom home sits in sector Los Mora-Altamira, and the municipality invested $89,000 in it, covering land preparation, permitting, and construction.[4][3] Across the program, the cumulative investment now totals $8.21M under federal recovery funding.[2] The work has gone beyond rebuilds.
