Thousands of Puerto Rican teachers marched through Old San Juan on Thursday, Nov 5, carrying the name 'Manifestación de la Indignación' from Plaza Colón to the gates of La Fortaleza.[1] The march was not teachers alone. The Sindicato de Bomberos Unidos de Puerto Rico had announced it would join the union march to La Fortaleza that day.[2] Teachers and other union organizations walked together through the old city.[3] Among those at La Fortaleza was Tatiana Préstamo, who took part in the protest.[4] After the crowd dispersed, leaders of the Federación de Maestros de Puerto Rico met with Puerto Rico Governance Secretary Norma Burgos Andújar.[5]
