Net metering grid connections fell more than 60% in April through September 2026 against the same stretch of 2025, LUMA Energy stated in its quarterly report.[1]
The figure comes from the report filed Oct 27. LUMA stated the comparison is period over period, the April-September window this year set against the same months last year.
The report puts a number on the drop but not a cause. What drives a decline of that size over a single year is not in the figure LUMA released.
