Ramos Morales, who has led the Diocese of Caguas since 2017, has been appointed the new Archbishop of San Juan. [^1]

The promotion moves the bishop from the Caguas post he has held for nine years to the leadership of the archdiocese in the capital.

The read here is that Caguas now faces a vacancy, and the island's second-largest diocese will be watching for who Rome sends next.
