Comedy mystery play 'Por mis muertos' will be performed at Centro de Bellas Artes de Santurce, Puerto Rico on 30 October, 31 October and 1 November 2026. ^[1] The University of Puerto Rico Teatro Rodante will hold its 80th anniversary commemorative event dedicated to Dean Zayas on November 5 at the Río Piedras campus theatre. ^[2] 'Por mis muertos' is set in the 1920s, and follows a seance that unravels into chaos revealing hidden secrets and conflicts among living characters. ^[3] 'Por mis muertos' was written by Spanish dramatist José Warletta. ^[4] The Puerto Rican production of 'Por mis muertos' is produced by Producciones Aragua Inc and directed by Miguel Diffoot. ^[5] Former students of Dean Zayas including Modesto Lacén, María Cotto, Eric Yamil Cruz, Christian Nieves and Joselo Arroyo will participate in a testimonial roundtable. ^[6] Idalia Pérez Garay will deliver the keynote lecture titled 'Dean Zayas: el maestro, director y el teatro del Siglo de Oro' at the event. ^[7] Event panels will analyze Dean Zayas' work on theatre direction, stage design, and teaching Spanish Golden Age drama to new audiences. ^[8]
