Puerto Rico Secretary of State Rosachely Rivera Santana said on Monday that water rationing for La Plata reservoir customers is not currently planned. [1] The same message came from the Drought Committee. Carlos Pesquera of the Puerto Rico Drought Committee said no rationing will be imposed for La Plata for at least 30 days. [2] Two officials, two bodies, one answer: customers tied to La Plata are not facing cuts in the near term. The 30-day window gives a concrete horizon on the reservoir, though neither statement carries a reservoir level or an inflow figure to measure against.
