Senator Juan Oscar Morales referred Suzanne Roig Fuertes, Secretary of the Department of Family, to four review bodies over travel expenses tied to her trip to Spain, he announced on Monday.

Morales sent the matter to the Puerto Rico Department of Justice, the Government Ethics Office, the Comptroller, and the US federal HHS Inspector General. Roig Fuertes said on Monday that she will not resign her position despite the public controversy.
