Varlin Vissepo will serve as president and general manager of HMS Ferries Puerto Rico, the company announced, with the appointment effective Oct. 19, 2026.

The announcement names Vissepo to both titles. HMS Ferries Puerto Rico did not state in the release what further changes, if any, accompany the appointment.

For riders who depend on the ferry service, the name at the top is now Vissepo's. What that means for schedules, fares or routes is not addressed in the announcement.
